My Experience As a Columbia, Tennessee Disability Lawyer

I grew up in Vinton, Virginia, a tiny town outside Roanoke, where I graduated high school in 1968.  I graduated from college in 1972 at Indiana University and  from the Duke University law school in 1975.

I have been helping disabled people in Middle Tennessee win Social Security and SSI benefits since 1980 when  I moved to Columbia to work for Legal Services.  I liked the area so much I decided to stay.  I went into private practice in 1985 and now handle Social Security cases exclusively.  I can put those years of experience into helping you win the benefits you deserve.

I am a member of the Maury County Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.  I am a sustaining member of the National Organization for Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.

My staff is both knowledgeable and friendly.  My secretary, Sharon Devore, is a native of Hampshire and lives there on the family farm.  She has been working for me for over ten years.  My assistant, Susan Duff, grew up in Williamson County and worked for many years as a real estate closing agent.  They both have a thorough understanding of the financial situation so many of our clients find themselves in.  They both are also very sympathetic to the effects that physical or mental illness can have on people’s lives.
